Boots Haul

After a stressful few days back at work I decided a pick me up Boots haul was in order. I went to the big Boots store at Cheshire Oaks, Ellesmere Port.

I picked up a few bits from recommendations and there are a few impulse purchases too:

* Oops! That picture looks really poor quality on here - it looked great on my iPhone I will do some closeups instead*

Right now the items individually:

1. Aussie Aussome Shampoo and Conditioner

I decided to get these two after using the Aussie Miracle Moist collection and really loving it. I used Aussie products when I was younger and never really loved it and always moved on to something else. I have found recently that Aussie hair care really suits my hair and makes it so soft and conditioned.

I am really hoping that these two do the same as the Miracle Moist with the nourishment but also add volume to my thick but really flat hair. I will let you know the results, I am going to finish off my Miracle Moist first but then it will be on to Aussome!!

2. Models Own Nail Varnish in Nude Beige and Pearly Queen

I love love love Models Own nail varnish and I think it is definitely my new favourite. The formulation is always gorgeous and suitable for the colour. I like thick nail varnish so these are ideal for me.
I got Nude Beige as it looks like a good everyday colour, non offensive for work. As it was 2 for £8 in Boots today it would have been rude to not get another one! So I got Pearly Queen which I think will be a great toe colour or maybe a one coat overlay but I will see how it works out. I'm excited about this one as its quite unique.

3. Collection 2000 Sheer Loose Powder - No. 2 Transparent

I'm going to be completely honest about this one I bought the cheapest loose powder I could find and at £2.99 I think this is it. I'm not a big fan of powder but thought I would give it a go. Not sure how I will get on with it but at that price I'm not too bothered.

4. Barry M Lip Gloss in No. 2 Toffee

Barry M is another of my favourite brands and I have been using their products since high school and my Mum actually loves them too. I think their prices have gone up recently but are still really good value so its ok! I have never tried this gloss before but I'm hoping it will be a nice neutral one for work and everyday. I am quite picky about gloss I really don't like sticky heavy gloss and so far this looks nice, I will let you know!

5. Revlon Colorstay Foundation Oily/Combination in 180 Sand Beige

I have recently started trying other foundations as I have been a devout follower of Clinique Dewy Smooth  in New Ivory for many years now. I started reading reviews and watching YouTube videos and there seemed to be a common theme in foundations - MAC Studio Fix Fluid! I purchased some of the SFF a few months again in NW20 which is a good match but being honest I have not been bowled over by it yet. I have bought a brush today maybe that will change things - not sure?
Now my attention has been drawn to this Revlon Colorstay - I'm hoping it will be, dare I say it, better than SFF? We will see.

I will be putting up reviews of all these products as soon as I have got to grips with them.

Bye for now, Sazzy x x

Passion for Purple

I am writing this quick post while I am getting my stuff together for the start of term tomorrow. After six weeks of holidays and freedom this is hard work!

I have to buy nice things to go back with to ease the pain, this Paperchase diary is one of those things:

It was £7 from the Paperchase store in Chester which I went to on my Birthday shopping spree. I also love the nail varnish in this picture which is Purple Grey from Models Own http://www.modelsownit.com/ and I purchased it during the Facebook 50% sale so it was only £2.50, an absolute bargain.

I'm off now to get more boring things together :(

Welcome!

Welcome

I have started this new blog about make up, hair and beauty. I am hoping to be able to update it regularly and tell what I love and what I don't. I am not a make up professional I teach 11 to 16 year olds, so it is an honest opinion.
I hope you will enoy reading about all things pretty!
